The Orlando City Lions were putting up the good fight Saturday until a couple of late LAFC goals salted away the win for the LAFC team. It took 45 minutes before either team could score but LAFC would scratch first with D. Douanga notching the first goal of the game giving LAFC a 1-0 lead. That lead would hold up until Orlando City’s L. Muriel hit M.Ojeda with a nice pass to tie the game a 1-1 at the 69 minute mark.
The 1-1 tie didn’t last very long as LAFC would strike just 11 minutes left when D. Bouanga made a nice pass to M. Bogusz for a 2-1 lead with his goal at the 80 minute mark. LAFC wasted little time putting the game away when they scored again just 6 minutes left at the 86 minute mark. D. Bouanga scored his second goal of the game assisted by N. Ordaz in front of 22,563 enthusiastic fans.
