Ramiya White, a 6-5 center from Louisville, Kentucky, is the third-ranked prospect and the top-ranked center in the state of Kentucky in the class of 2024, according to Prep Girls Hoops. White is a three-year letter winner at Butler Traditional High School under head coach Candyce Wheeler, while she also played on the Adidas 3SSB circuit under head coach Richard Jeter.

In 2022-23, the then-junior led Butler Traditional in points (8.6) and rebounds (8.0), while shooting 51.5 percent from the field and 64.2 percent from the line. She helped guide her team to a 13-13 record and its second straight 22nd District Championship win last season, before being named to The Courier Journal’s All-Sixth Region First Team for her overall performance.

In 2021-22, the then-sophomore put up 10.4 points per game, on 58.3 percent from the field, and grabbed 6.1 rebounds per game, helping Butler Traditional to a 22nd District Championship triumph, before being named to The Courier Journal’s All-Sixth Region Second Team.

The Wildcat picked Kentucky over offers from numerous Power Five programs.

Elzy on White:

“Our program is overjoyed that Ramiya White is a Wildcat. She is a force to be reckoned with on the boards, which is a huge asset for our program, while she also is a solid shot blocker. For a post player, she can run the floor well, too, while her mobility is impressive for her length and size. Off the court, White is an impressive young lady who will bring a drive and a focus to our locker room. She also exudes a passion for the state of Kentucky, so I am eager for Big Blue Nation to get to see the Bluegrass product on the court next fall.”

White will tip off her senior season at Butler Traditional against Cooper High School on Nov. 28.
