The Reds entered the All Star Break losing 2 of 3 at Milwaukee. In an odd scheduling quirk, The Reds opened the second half of the season against, you guessed it, the Brewers. For the 3rd time in 4 games, the Reds fell again to the Brewers 1-0 dropping them in to a first place tie with the Brewers. It was the second straight 1-0 loss to the Brewers for the Reds.
On June 4th, the Reds were 26-33, before going on a 15-2 run that put them atop the Central Division. Their high water mark for the season was 47-38. A wild yet impressive 21-5 record. Since then, the Reds have fallen back a bit losing 3 of 4. The Reds have 2 more at home versus Milwaukee before 4 more against the 3rd place Giants and then 3 games against the 2nd place Arizona Diamondbacks to finish off a long home stand.
Cincinnati will be in a great position to win their division if they can come out of their current home stand winning at least half of the 10 home games on this current home stand.
