Henry Clay vs. Murray 3.17.22
We get ready to enter game 3 of 4 here today at the UK Healthcare Boys’ Sweet 16 let’s see if the local team Henry Clay will be able to advance to the Elite 8 or if Murray will beat them to the punch. After the first 8 minutes of play Murray has taken the lead 11-20, it will be interesting to see what both teams bring to the floor after coming out of the huddle to put into action for this second quarter. With 2:17 left to play here before the half Murray is up by 4 against Henry Clay, but right as the buzzer sounds to end the half Henry Clay is able to drill a mid-range jumper to cut the lead to 2 points as they go into the locker room for halftime. Coming into this 2nd half of basketball each team is looking to do something to power the other out, so they are able to able to build a lead in hopes the other team won’t be able to catch back up. One of the key players for Murray that have been able to keep their lead alive is #03 Boggesss as he has 16 of their 37 points right now. However, out of the blue Henry Clay is able to get back in this game making the score 48-48 with 5 minutes left to play in the game, but that doesn’t stop Murray from evening the game once again making it 50-50, will we see another overtime game today? After battling all game with lead changes Murray is able to come out on top 57-53 over Henry Clay and advance to play in the Elite 8 tomorrow night here on the historic court that is Rupp Arena, they will face Warren Central Friday at 8:30 PM here at the UK Healthcare Boys’ Sweet 16.
