Robert Morris found out that these UK Wildcats are not the dumpster fire that was the Cats of 2020-2021. They also found out that Oscar Tshiebwe is an absolute beast. OT finished with 20 rebounds for 2nd straight game, 14 points and 3 blocked shots. The Wildcats would hit the century mark in their 100 – 60 blowout win.
UK put 6 players in double figures led by Grady with 19, OT’s 14, Collins with 14, Mintz with 13, Brooks Jr. 13, and Washington with 10.
Sahvir Wheller didn’t have a great shooting game going 2 for 7 from the field for 5 points, BUT he dished out 11 assists and had 3 steals. Hopkins added 4 points and All had 8 points to round out the scoring.

When was last time the Cats had a player with 11 assists? UK had 23 assists as a team. They only had 10 turnovers.
Who are these guys?
This is not the team from last year. This team, at least so far after 2 exhibition games and 2 regular season games, look focused and determined. This is in part that they have more experience than Coach Cal has ever had while at UK. The transfer portal has been very good to Coach Cal. It’s a long season and the Cats have a lot more learning to go through but the veteran presence is only going to help this team.
